Accidentally deleted your iPhone or Android call log? Recover call history from iCloud backup, iTunes backup, Android backup, or from the phone's local database using SafeRestore.
iPhone does not have a Recently Deleted folder for the call log. Three working paths: (1) Restore from an iCloud or computer backup that pre-dates the deletion. (2) Use SafeRestore on Mac/PC to extract the call history database (CallHistory.storedata) from a local iPhone backup, without erasing the phone. (3) Request your call detail record from your carrier — they retain call logs for 1-7 years depending on the carrier and plan.
On Android: (1) Google account restore — call logs may restore from Google One backups. (2) Carrier call detail record — Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile keep call records 1-7 years; download from your account portal. (3) ADB extraction (advanced) — pull the contacts2.db database. (4) Some manufacturers (Samsung, Xiaomi) have their own cloud backup for call logs.
Verizon: 12 months in customer portal, up to 7 years for billing/legal requests. AT&T: 7 years. T-Mobile: 5 years. Most prepaid carriers: 90 days to 1 year. To download yours, log into your carrier account online → Billing → View detailed call history.
Yes, when iCloud Backup is on. Call history is included in the iPhone's nightly iCloud backup. SafeRestore can extract the call log from a local iPhone backup without doing a full restore.
Yes. SafeRestore reads the CallHistory.storedata file from local iPhone backups and exports the call log as CSV, JSON, or PDF. You can filter by date range, caller, duration, or call type (incoming/outgoing/missed/FaceTime). The iPhone is never erased.
